Standards & assurance

Compliance is the point of the work

Our clients engage us so they can demonstrate — to regulators, lenders, head offices and the communities around them — that their operations are managed responsibly. Everything we do is built around that goal.

Our approach

Independent, evidence-based, and practical

SunWise provides assessment, monitoring and advisory services that give organisations a factual basis for managing their Health, Safety and Environmental obligations. We do not issue regulatory approvals — that is the role of the relevant authorities — but the evidence and recommendations we produce are designed to support your submissions and your management systems.

Environmental compliance

Environmental impact and baseline assessments, and ongoing air, water and emissions monitoring, that give you the data needed to meet Zambia's environmental legislation and to keep regulators and stakeholders informed.

Occupational health & safety

Dust, noise and industrial hygiene monitoring, ergonomic surveys, risk assessments and safety training — helping you protect your workforce and meet occupational health and safety requirements.

Quality

Total quality management and customer-service excellence are our stated goals. Our monitoring work follows recognised methods so that results are defensible and repeatable.

Risk management

Structured risk assessments that identify hazards, evaluate their significance and prioritise controls — so effort and budget go where the risk is greatest.

Management-system frameworks

Audits and training aligned to ISO 14001 (environment), ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO 45001 (occupational health & safety), to help you build or maintain a certifiable management system.

Professional standards

Professionalism is our business anchor: accountability, integrity and transparency in every operation, and ethical principles guiding our decisions.

Our credentials

Compliance & certifications

We hold our own operations to the standards we ask of our clients. SunWise Investment Ltd maintains the statutory registrations, clearances and licences required to operate in Zambia as an employer and as a licensed handler of hazardous waste — covering environmental responsibility, workforce protection, social security and tax compliance.

Each certificate below is reproduced in full and can be opened and enlarged. Every document carries a certificate, licence or account number issued by the relevant authority, so anything shown here can be verified directly with the issuing body.

These documents evidence SunWise Investment Ltd's own statutory compliance as a Zambian employer and as a ZEMA-licensed handler of hazardous waste. They are not third-party management-system accreditations: where ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 are mentioned elsewhere on this site, that refers to the audit and training services SunWise provides to clients, not to a certification held by SunWise. Certificates are renewed on the cycles set by each authority — if you need the current version for a prequalification or procurement pack, ask us and we will send it.

Regulatory context

We help you meet the standards that apply to you

Operations in Zambia are subject to national environmental legislation — administered by the Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA) — as well as occupational health and safety and sector-specific requirements. Lenders and international partners frequently add their own environmental and social conditions on top.

SunWise produces the independent assessments, monitoring records and management-system support that these processes call for. We work alongside your team so that the evidence is ready when it is needed, and so that the underlying practices are genuinely embedded — not just documented.

We are a fixed-price solution provider. We believe in delivering value to every client and we commit to results. Before starting any work we provide a not-to-exceed cost estimate — no one likes surprises. We take the time to understand your specific business need, then set out our plan of action and the associated costs to implement it.

We have experience across a wide range of business areas. The directors of the company have each amassed over fifteen years of experience in the field of Health, Safety and Environment in the mining, construction and manufacturing industries. Combined, that is a substantial depth of practical knowledge.

The question is not whether we will achieve the identified results target, but whether your organisation will. Achieving the desired results is a shared effort: we work closely with our clients to understand their needs and tailor our solutions accordingly, so the outcome is owned by your team and holds up over time.
